Of all of Elgar's musical output, this variation is without doubt one of his most lyrical works. Thoughtfully arranged for Intermediate mallet ensemble this piece will make an excellent performance work.

Percussive Arts Society (USA) ‘Percussive Notes’ review (Scott Herring)
"Gordon Hughes has arranged the beautiful “Nimrod” variation from Elgar’s “Enigma Variations” for percussion sextet...This calming tune seems to be well suited to the given keyboard percussion instrumentation. Hughes’ arrangement would be an appropriate interlude for a high school or collegiate percussion ensemble concert."

Percussive Arts Society (USA) ‘Percussive Notes’ review (John R. Raush)
"...One of the most effective arrangement of Elgar’s 'Nimrod' from the Enigma Variations."
