Customer Reviews

Author: Scott Herring - Percussive Arts Society (USA) review
Subito dynamic changes and interlocking accented patterns create variety within the work. To add timbral contrasts, the composer uses rim clicks, stick clicks and vocalisations. At specific points, the performers are required to rhythmically yell the syllables "Ha" and "Da." The rhythmic material in the work is relatively simple, making it accessible to a high school percussion ensemble.

totally awesome drumming piece! This rocks out in our percussion ensemble rehearsals

Author: Australian Music Centre - panel review
If this candidate [Gordon Hughes] wishes to specialise in the writing of works for percussion, he should be greatly supported and encouraged
